I recently visited this restaurant for wine tasting prior to a wedding reception that was being held at Veraison Restaurant. The staff and owners were nothing short of fantastic. Nothing was a bother and the food was sensational.
The Restaurant was the perfect location for an intimate wedding reception and was absolutely stunning.
Well worth visiting if you are in the area... I could not speak highly enough of the food....

Veraison is beautiful winery set amongst a vinyard. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere with exceptional customer service and sensational wine and food. The staff are very attentive and the owner also occasionally jumps on the paino and plays some of the most beautiful music while you are dinning which really adds to the whole experience. Easy to park and close to the new freeway which is handy. My parents go alot and love it, i must say they are pretty fussy but we even had our christmas lunch there this year and it was perfect ! (hoping to do that again next year)

Went again to Veraison with a new friend. We both enjoyed our meal and the service. The meals are fresh tasty and just the right amount. The location is lovely as well. If you are looking for something that is up there with the best without being pretentious then you need to try Veraison.

What a wonderful place. We were greeted warmly and cheerfully by Cherie. The food was outstanding, fresh and interesting. The Wallaby was delicious, the venison mouthwatering, and the duck succulent. Our lunch was fantastic from start to finish. Am sitting here entering this review while drinking a glass of their wonderful Pinot Grigio! Cheers!! Ang, Michael, Win and Alex (the old man!)

We decided to do some wine tasting at the Bluestone Lane Vineyard before lunch at Veraison Restaurant. We had the pleasure of friendly John, behind the wine tasting bar. He was very helpful and entertaining, explaining to us the different wines.

Veraison has an interesting Menu. All the choices sounded interesting. I had the cider pea and ham, it has pork belly as well as crackling in a bed of pea broth. It tastes amazing. My husband had the venison and he loved it. For main, I had fried barramundi with crab meat on a bed of sauce, smokey eggplant.... OMG, my barramundi was perfected cooked, the fillet was slightly soft with a very crusty skin, tasted so good. My husband had the waygu beef. We also ordered the hazelnut, orange swede, radish and spinach salad (what a delicious dressing with the salad) and blue de lagueuille pomme potatoes as our side dishes. For dessert, their signature dish, aerated parfait (violet ice cream on honeycomb and Persian fairy floss to finish the dish off).

The staff was friendly, nice setting over the vines and plenty of car parking space. They also cater for weddings. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there today, we will certainly be back.

Just along the new peninsula link turning off at balnarring we found Veraison Restaurant on Myers rd. Our friendly waitress promptly made a table up for our group of 6 as we had not booked, the new menu was delicious and presentation was outstanding from start to finish the flavours in each plate were tantalising. The Bluestone 2010 shiraz was also a great choice, our lunch was made a most enjoyable experience when Sheree played some music on her grand piano, popping this one down as a regular.

this is the best winery restaurant on the mornington peninsula the food is outstanding very fresh if you go mid week lunch they have 2 course and 3 course specials wine is also very good with a large selection. Go about 30 mins before you book table and go through wine tasting first before you eat.

This was my first visit to the winery and Veraison restaurant and what an eye opener!! From the time we entered for the wine tasting right through to the end of our lunch was one of the best experiences i have had. Sheree greeted me with a smile and the knowledge of all the wines were impeccable and very interesting. Sheree was teaching a new trainee (Clare) and what a delightful girl she was. She even thanked us at the end of our meal for giving her the opportunity to serve us.
The meal was to die for. I had the Venison in which my mouth exploded with all the different flavours on my plate. To finish of i was served the best dessert I have ever tasted. It was the Honey roasted popcorn ice cream which sounds like it would not work together but my tastebuds were were dancing in my my mouth, its was devine!! Thank you sooo much for the incredible experience. I will definately be back and recommend it to anyone!!
P.S I also purchased 3 bottles of there finest to take home!!

We stopped in late Sunday afternoon after a visit to the Bluestone Lane cellar door. Cheree was welcoming and the kitchen stayed open to provide us a delicious three course Sunday lunch. The food was stunning - visually and full of flavour. The fact that this is a hatted restaurant shows on each plate. Each bite was a treat - the staff were friendly and helpful. We even got some great tips on our planned trip to NZ. Thank you everyone from Veraison we will be back. regards Lisa and Peter

My partner and I ate here today. We are locals to the Penisula and felt like going for a drive and stumbled apon this place for some lunch . Sheree who looked after us has to be one of the most accommodating and personable waitresses I had ever come across. Based on that alone we will be back if not as soon as next week . The food was devine, my partner had the wallaby which was a great recommendation from Sheree and myself - the duck. Both absolutely beautiful. When it came time to desert I asked Sheree what would be the best and we have the Signature desert, and as I stated to Sheree the absolutely best desert I have ever had. The lunch itself was beautiful and we will be back as soon as possible the venue itself was devine, looking over the vineyards with a country fire behind us we could not have asked for a better Saturday afternoon. This is our new favourite on the Penisula and Sheree being the best of the best in terms of outstanding customer service. We will be bringing everyone we know here .

We left this restaurant with my partner saying this was the best meal she's had... Possibly ever. It wasn't just the food, which was top quality, the wine or the amazing level of service. It was the intangibles that make a good meal great that will bring us back.

On a cloudy and rainy day Sherrie managed to create a ray of sunshine that encompassed our table.

If you ever are in the area, you should swing by Veraison for a meal.

Where do you go when you're a foodie, and want to be surprised with something you'd not cook at home? We have been impressed with Mark and Sherrie's really interesting food each time we've been to Veraison. I went with my 2 sisters for lunch and enjoyed it all tremendously. Gamon wrapped sweetbreads - I'd never considered cooking them. But, honestly, Mark did wonders with that dish. Including a to die for caramellized parsnip custard in the middle with jus swimming around it. It was worth going there to see the look of rapture on my sister's face as she tried to work out each flavour and texture. The desserts are a must have with amazing ice-creams complementing beautiful creations. Sherie is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about food and the wine they are justifiably proud of. Best sparkling wine we've had. Worth going to this beautiful place. Enjoy it. Sue E.

We had a lovely evening, it was a cold winter night but the fire was going and with our table right in front it was beautiful. The service was personal and very friendly and the food was delicious. Barramundi was cooked perfectly. Would recommend a visit.

As locals we do have a wide variety of wineries and restaurants available to us, but over a period of several years Veraison has certainly become our favourite.
The food is of a quality that will match any of the finest dining establishments in the city and the wine list offers a great diversity of both local and more prominent products.
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed and there is every opportunity to enjoy your meal at your own pace.
We have had quiet lunches and we had a dinner with about 20 at the table - the quality, service and attention to detail was the same. And the Violet Crumble desert is to die for.....

We eat here regularly and Mark & Cherie never fail to surprise with their flavour combos, but have just had a five course lunch with wines chosen to match. Wow,wow, wow. I don 't know how they come up with these ideas but they work for us. Cherie is a great host, attentive but not hovering & can be persuaded to play her beautiful piano if she is not busy. The food is either grown on site or locally sourced and picked at peak. Can't wait to return. $85 per person with wines including 2 brand new is excellent value.

Just experienced a truly memorable degustation lunch at Veraison. Top-notch food, wine and ambience all served with pride and professionalism but without the stuffiness. We will definitely be back with a table of fellow foodies!

My husband and I live in the area, had seen the signs for the restaurant and decided to try it during a recent holiday. Well worth it! Great food in portions that were enough without erring on the side of too little/too much. Beautiful presentation and sensational fresh taste, lovely wines and service. The restaurant is set in the middle of a vineyard so the view is delightful. Really can't ask for more...definitely worth a try!

The food is amazing and was extreme well presented, just leaving wanting more . The service was faultless and definitely the best I have received in a long time. I went to the bathroom to return to find my food removed to be kept war. On returning it to me, the chef had prepared a new plate of food as he was unhappy with just keeping it warm.

Four of us had lunch at Veraison. This is one of the few winery restaurants on the Peninsula that offer small and large plates, so you can have a light or full lunch as you choose. We shared four plates and a salad - all of excellent quality.

The Bluestone wines are good and well-priced - we had a tasting before lunch to select our wines. The service was excellent and the outlook over the vineyard is attractive and relaxing.

We've eaten at most of the wineries on the Mornington Peninsula and recommend Veraison - especially if (like us) you don't want a roast or a big steak for lunch! Value for money, it's hard to beat.
